Download Overview & Intern Criteria
The Brown Center for Autism is deeply grateful for the selfless sacrifices of its many volunteers. These individuals are the lifeblood of our Center.
Multiple volunteer and internship opportunities are available at any given time--particularly within our home behavioral program, which provides an extremely valuable continuum of care and support to our families within the home setting.
This program offers volunteers a high degree of flexiblity, as well as opportunities for personal growth. Individuals serving in this program will receive training and supervision from our Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA), and will be supervised by the child's parent within the home.
Opportunities for individuals desiring to serve as behavioral assistant are also available within the Center, as we strive to maintain a 1:1 therapist to student ratio whenever possible. These positions are also trained and supervised by our BCBA.
Volunteer opportunities are not limited to working directly in the therapeutic setting. Your personal strengths are valuable to us and can also be utilized in the areas of office/clerical work, building and grounds maintenance, marketing, web updating, just to name a few.
We invite you to contact us at 615.385.7994 if you are interested in volunteering or if you have questions regarding volunteer opportunities.

Rock the Block Volunteers
The purpose of the BCA Rocks the Block annual event is to raise funds for our Child Sponsorship Program, which provides financial assistance to needy families for comprehensive autism treatment. With the help of our fabulous volunteers, we had a successful first year of giving for the benefit of our children-exceeding our goal of $10,000. Needy families will be awarded sponsorships on July 20, 2009. We would like to extend a warm thank-you to all of our volunteers:
